Choosing Roofing Lead
Rolled lead sheet is supplied in different thicknesses traditionally identified by code. The appropriate code depends on the type of detail, sheet dimensions, exposure and the way the lead needs to accommodate thermal movement.
Common roofing applications use material from Code 3 through to Code 8.
Lightweight rolled lead commonly used for soakers and selected flashing details.

Material Standard
Rolled lead used for building applications should be supplied to BS EN 12588, which establishes requirements relating to the composition, thickness and dimensional tolerances of rolled lead sheet.
