Design & Detailing

• Profile: Flat plain tile with a slight camber across the length and width, delivering a subtle texture when laid.

• Edges: Typically sanded or weathered, giving each tile a unique surface finish and a more rustic appearance compared to modern machine-cut tiles.

• Fixings: Pre-drilled with a nail hole for easy installation with traditional roofing pegs or nails.

Material Composition

• Natural Clay:
  The Tucker Loughborough tile is traditionally made from high-quality Etruria marl clay, known for its deep red tone and excellent weathering characteristics.
  Once fired, the tile becomes extremely robust and resistant to frost, algae, and general degradation – making it ideal for long-term use in British weather conditions.
