Boroughbridge Pantile

Boroughbridge are a traditional English clay pantile.
Perfect for a barn conversion or those looking to create a heritage look on their roofing project.
There are many types of traditional pantiles form many different tile works up and down the country, so if these are not a match then please let us know, we are likely to have some that are. J.W Green Borougbridge traditional handmade pantiles, a true product of Yorkshires history. Now closed the original brick and tile works was situated at Rawcliffe.
These tiles are in great condition just weathered from been on the roof for years.
They are all from same source would be perfect for a re roof.

Calculating Slates per m²

Definition: Number of slates needed to cover one square metre.

Formula: 1 000 000 mm² ÷ (effective width × effective height)

Where:

Effective width = tile width – side lap
Effective height = tile height – head lap

Example: 610 mm × 355 mm tile, 20 mm side lap, 75 mm head lap:

Effective width: 610 − 20 = 590 mm
Effective height: 355 − 75 = 280 mm
Area per slate: 590 × 280 = 165 200 mm²
Slates per m²: 1 000 000 ÷ 165 200 ≈ 6.05
