Sterreberg Courtrai Roof tile
The Sterreberg Courtrai Roof tile is clay and also a double interlocking Pantile.
These tiles sourced from a east coast property in Yorkshire.
This tile is commonly known and described as the “Sterreberg” and the “Flemish” tile.
Sterrenberg tiles are produced in the Belgian city of Courtrai. This roof tile works had a wide range of Tuile du Nord, Flemish and Roman tiles.

They were a popular product in the south east of England partuclarly.
Kortrijk, French Courtrai, municipality, Flanders Region, western Belgium. It lies along the Leie (Lys) River and the Leie-Scheldt Canal. The Roman settlement of Cortracum was established there, and in the 7th century St. Eloi erected a chapel on the site of the present St. Martin’s Church. Chartered in 1190, Kortrijk reached its peak in the Middle Ages as a centre of the linen damask industry.
