Reclaimed MKI Crossley Tudor roof tiles in natural red.

These tiles are no longer manufactured and are subsequently ideal for anyone looking to repair an existing roof area or create a new extension to match an existing building or structure
A large, deeply-profiled terracotta pantile in double interlocking format. This original version has a smaller 3″ headlap and a series of four horizontal support lugs on the rear.
The tiles measure 11″ wide by 18.5″ Long.
Your will need to allow circa 10 tiles per m2 of roof area.

What’s the difference between Tudor Crossley MKi and MkII?

MKI | A large, deeply-profiled terracotta pantile in double interlocking format. This original version has a 4″/100mm headlap and a series of four horizontal support lugs on the rear.

MKII | A large, deeply-profiled terracotta pantile in double interlocking format. This updated version has a smaller 3″/75mm headlap. Differs on the rear from the Mk I by virtue of a second interlocking rib running across the bottom of the tile parallel with the leading edge.

Calculating Slates per m²

Definition: Number of slates needed to cover one square metre.

Formula: 1 000 000 mm² ÷ (effective width × effective height)

Where:

Effective width = tile width – side lap
Effective height = tile height – head lap

Example: 610 mm × 355 mm tile, 20 mm side lap, 75 mm head lap:

Effective width: 610 − 20 = 590 mm
Effective height: 355 − 75 = 280 mm
Area per slate: 590 × 280 = 165 200 mm²
Slates per m²: 1 000 000 ÷ 165 200 ≈ 6.05
