Hardrow slates are a large format concrete roof tile. They were designed as a more cost effective way to create the look of a stone slate roof covering.

Ideal for barns or large roof areas where coverage per slate is important.

Hardrow slates are a large format concrete roof tile.

These Hardrow slates measure 27″ x 18″ (690mm x 450mm) and would be perfect for a renovation project.

The slates are all from the same source and are uniform in their weathered colour.

We are happy to sell smaller quantities of these slates and will also deal on the lot.

We have approximately 200 of these in stock.

National delivery is available but sue to the weight of this item delivery for any quantity will be expensive. Please ask us for a quotation if you would like to deal on a large quantity of these Hardrow roof tiles.

Calculating Slates per m²

Definition: Number of slates needed to cover one square metre.

Formula: 1 000 000 mm² ÷ (effective width × effective height)

Where:

Effective width = tile width – side lap
Effective height = tile height – head lap

Example: 610 mm × 355 mm tile, 20 mm side lap, 75 mm head lap:

Effective width: 610 − 20 = 590 mm
Effective height: 355 − 75 = 280 mm
Area per slate: 590 × 280 = 165 200 mm²
Slates per m²: 1 000 000 ÷ 165 200 ≈ 6.05
