Description

Lead Sealant

Specially formulated as an alternative to mortaring Lead Flashing & Sheet into Masonry etc.

Lead Sealant is a low modulus, neutral cure sealant specifically designed to give exceptional adhesion to soft metals such as lead, brass, copper and zinc etc.

The sealant is specially formulated as an alternative to mortaring lead flashing and sheet into brick, stone and concrete, it has low dirt pick up properties and excellent flexibility.

Lead grey in colour has high and low temperature resistance and excellent weathering properties make it incredibly useful and easy to work with compared to other sealing methods.

Apply using a sealant applicator caulk sealant gun.

Definition: Number of slates needed to cover one square metre.

Formula: 1 000 000 mm² ÷ (effective width × effective height)

Where:

Effective width = tile width – side lap
Effective height = tile height – head lap

Example: 610 mm × 355 mm tile, 20 mm side lap, 75 mm head lap:

Effective width: 610 − 20 = 590 mm
Effective height: 355 − 75 = 280 mm
Area per slate: 590 × 280 = 165 200 mm²
