Sandtoft Neo in Flanders Clay Pantile<\/h2>\n

The Sandtoft Neo pantile is an open gauge interlocking pantile. Designed by Sandtoft to make a clay pantile roof not only easier but also quicker to install. This colour is known as Flanders.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Sandtoft Wienerberger Neo Pantile.\u00a0A beautiful, new generation clay pantile from Sandtoft that offers all the fixing and cost advantages of a concrete tile, coupled with the\u00a0striking\u00a0kerb appeal and\u00a0character of natural clay.<\/p>\n

The key feature in the design of the Neo interlocking pantile\u00a0is the open gauge, which has been designed to make a clay pantile roof easier and quicker to install.<\/p>\n

The current stock of\u00a0Sandtoft Neo in Flanders\u00a0is all from on building and all aged similarly. These tiles have been stamped with April 2008 therefore they are young for a reclaimed product. Really great condition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n

Wienerberger is the owner of Sandtoft Tile Manufacturers.<\/p>\n

Did you know that the Wienerberger story began in Austria over 200 years ago?<\/p>\n

They\u2019ve come a long way since then. Here\u2019s a timeline showing how Wienerberger has led the way as a building material solutions manufacturer since those early days in Vienna, to their present day growth and development in the UK.<\/p>\n

Austria History<\/h3>\n

1819<\/b> \u2013 29 year old Alois Miesbach acquired kilns in Miedling. He was sure that demand for bricks in Vienna will rise during the coming years. He bought plots of land with rich clay reserves on Wienerberg.<\/p>\n

1829<\/b> \u2013 18 year old Heinrich Drasche, nephew of Alois Miesbach also started working for the company.<\/p>\n

1845<\/b> \u2013 Wienerberger\u2019s product range now included water-supply and drainage pipes. The company now had 37 kilns and was producing 50 million bricks a year, making them the biggest brick producer in Europe with an annual revenue equivalent to 11 million pounds.<\/p>\n

1846<\/b> \u2013 Miesbach leased the Wiener Neust\u00e4dter Canal, his own waterway to transport finished bricks and importantly coal needed for production.<\/p>\n

1850s <\/b>\u2013 Wienerberger expanded into ceramic art and establishes a terracotta factory in Inzersdorf.<\/p>\n

1857<\/b> \u2013 Alois Miesbach unfortunately died, Heinrich Drasche took over as owner of Wienerberger he is also known as the\u00a0 \u201cbrick baron\u201c.<\/p>\n

1860<\/b> \u2013 Drasche bought the patent for the continous kiln, invented by Friedrich Hoffman, making continous brick production possible for the first time.<\/p>\n

1867<\/b> \u2013 Emperor Franz Josef took down Vienna\u2019s fortress like walls so the city can expand. Drasche hired more and more brick workers and introduced a piecework scheme to keep up with brick demand.<\/p>\n

1869<\/b> \u2013 Wienerberger was listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange and Heinrich Drasche sold his brickworks to a consortium of banks.<\/p>\n

1882<\/b> \u2013 Brick consumption peaked with 330 million units used that year, most of them manufactured by Wienerberger. Drasche established Wienerberger headquarters in the grand \u201cHeinrichshof\u201c, in central Vienna.<\/p>\n

UK History<\/h3>\n

2001<\/b> \u2013 Wienerberger enters UK market trading as Terca UK through the acquisition of Opitroc brick division in Northern Europe.<\/p>\n

2004<\/b> \u2013 Wienerberger acquires Thebrickbusiness, with nine UK plants. Thebrickbusiness was founded in 2002 through the merger of Ambion Brick and Chelwood Brick<\/p>\n

2005<\/b> \u2013 Wienerberger enters the UK roof tile market.<\/p>\n

2007<\/b> \u2013 Wienerberger acquires Baggeridge Brick, strengthening their prescence in the UK market with five production sites and also extensive raw material reserves.<\/p>\n

2008<\/b> \u2013 Wienerberger invests in roof tile manufacturing and also buys of majority stake in Sandtoft UK. It is the largest independent roof tile producer in the UK. It has a current and growing brand in clay, concrete as well as slate roofing. There are four roof tile plants in North England.<\/p>\n

2008<\/b> \u2013 Wienerberger launches the important Porotherm clay block walling system in the UK.<\/p>\n

2014<\/b> \u2013 Wienerberger also acquires the Keymer brand of premium handmade clay roof tiles. Keymer is one of the oldest \u00a0roofing manufacturers in the world, with a great heritage dating back to 1588.<\/p>\n

2019<\/b> \u2013 Wienerberger buys BPD Holdings Ltd. This also enhances the company\u2019s roof offering and deliver specialist building products.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
